18.7.2010 - 18.7.2010 at plaza Osloboditeľov chairman of International Vaurien association Mr.Gianpiro Saggini opened 49th Vaurien World Championship. Championship will continue up to 24.7.2010. VWC is running in area of clubs TJ Fatran and YC LIMAR in Raztocká bay on Loptovská Mara close to city Liptovský Mikuláš in Slovak Republic. 58 boats from 11 countries is registered for VWC, Austria, Czech Republic, Frace, Germany, Italy, Nederland, Poland, Portugal, Urugvay and Slovak Republic. There is 19 boats in junior category, 11 in feminine category and 7 in masters category.
19.7.2010 - There were 3 races planed on 19.7.2010. After two hours waiting for better wind conditions race officer Milan Boros started first race of 49. VWC. During first race wind become weak and a lot of favorites stay on back positions. After first boats witch turn mark 3 in the first round the wind stoped and race committee aborted the first race.
20.7.2010 10:15 - The boats left the bank. Wind is slowly. Competitors are waiting for stronger wind.
